Ana Carvalho served as a city government environmental specialist for over 16 years, and recipient of the California Resource Recovery Association’s 2019 Rick Best Environmental Advocacy Award for lifetime environmental stewardship achievements. She is an expert on food waste diversion programs, a board member of Zero Waste International Alliance, and a Contributor Editor to BioCycle Magazine.
